Meta Pixel and Google Analytics

It is possible to set up Meta Pixel or Google Tag on two levels.

1. For the entire organizer page including events.

2. For a specific event.

 

A combination of the two is also possible. If it is set up on the event, this will override any setup on the organizer.

 

Tracking events

Below you can see which tracking events we send to your Meta Pixel or Google Tag, if the user has given permission for marketing cookies.

For example on these pages:

  • event.it/<your organizer>
    • When viewing the homepage/event list
  • event.it/<your organizer>/event
    • When viewing the event detail page
    • When starting event registration
    • When proceeding to payment (checkout)
    • When the purchase/registration is completed
  • event.it/<your organizer>/member-registration
    • When starting registration
    • When proceeding to payment (checkout)
    • When payment/invoice is sent

Meta Pixel tracking events

  • PageView (on all pages)
  • Search
  • ViewContent
  • InitiateCheckout
  • Purchase

Setting up Meta Pixel or Google Tag at organizer level

  1. Go to the Organizer section in the menu
  2. Click on the Basic profile tab and scroll down to Meta Pixel and Google Analytics.
  3. Add a Meta Pixel or a Google Tag. It will then be active for your organizer pages.

 

 

Setting up Meta Pixel or Google Tag on an event

  1. Go to the event where you want to set up Meta Pixel or Google Tag.
  2. Click on Event details in the event overview
  3. Click on the Marketing tab where you can add either a Meta Pixel or a Google Tag. It will then be active on the event.
