When working with event creation on the platform, it is important to understand the event's 4 statuses, and below you will find an overview of the statuses.
Draft
- A newly created event will be in draft status.
- The draft status is used when you want to make adjustments and test your event.
- Only administrators and people with a direct link to the event can see and test the event.
- The event is shown in the event list, but only for administrators.
Test registrations
- You can make test registrations to try out the setup by clicking on “Test registration“. You can register, make selections and deselections, and even try test payment – exactly as the customer will experience it – just in test mode.
- You can delete the test registrations if needed – otherwise, they are automatically deleted when you publish the event.
- You publish the event by clicking on “Publish event“
NB: Do not send links to the event to customers when it is in draft. Registrations are in test mode and will therefore be invalid – just like any payment is also only in test mode.
Pause
- An event on pause is marked in red in the event list.
- When you have published your event but need to make changes to the event setup, be aware that some adjustments require the event to be paused (e.g., changes of time and location).
- If the event is paused, it will disappear from the event overview, and it will no longer be possible to register.
- If you click on the event link, you will be informed that the event is paused.
- We recommend that you avoid pausing events as much as possible unless it is necessary. If you need to pause the event, try to do so at a time when there are no registrations in progress.
NB: If you pause an event while a customer is in the process of registering, the order will be interrupted.
Archived
- An archived event is marked in gray.
- When your event has taken place, it is automatically settled and archived 3 business days after the end date.
- Any revenue you may have outstanding is automatically transferred to the specified account.
- An archived event is thus closed and registration is no longer possible.
You can always find your old event again.
- Select filtered Archived
- Find the event you need information about.
You can
- Access registration data and email addresses of the registrants – unless they are anonymized due to GDPR.
- View the registration form
- Download reports
- View settlement details
- View orders
- Copy the event
You cannot
- Make refunds
